HK$1,827 each on Trip.com for 16 Oct, on sale now. It is the only set that skips all four big adult queues: TRON, Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, Roaring Rapids and Soaring Over the Horizon. Soaring has the longest average wait in the park (80 min) and no single-rider line, which is why this set beats the cheaper set of 6.

The fast-track part costs about £117 a head on top of a £58 ticket: £14.65 a ride.

Trap: Disney says Premier Access is only genuine from its own site, app, WeChat, official Fliggy store and official travel partners such as Trip.com. Skip "fast pass" offers from random WeChat sellers or unnamed agents. Single Premier Access passes are sold only on the day, in Disney's app.

Friday, minute by minute

  1. 07:45 At the gate. Seven Dwarfs first (not in your set; shortest queue now).
  2. 09:00 Follow the voucher: link tickets in Disney's app and book fast-track return times, Soaring and TRON first.
  3. Morning Camp Discovery on standby between fast-track slots. Use Pirates and Roaring Rapids slots before lunch (dry off in the sun).
  4. Afternoon Zootopia, Peter Pan and Buzz slots. Rest at Disneytown if you want halal lunch.
  5. Dusk TRON again on single rider: the outdoor stretch is best in the dark.
  6. Night Fireworks at the castle; find your spot 30 min before.

Trip.com shows the park open 08:30–20:30 this week; confirm 16 Oct hours and fireworks time in the app the day before.

Practical

Getting there, paying, eating

Metro Line 11 to Disney Resort stationAbout an hour from central Shanghai, a few yuan. Tap in with Alipay's transit QR. A DiDi taxi is about 40–50 min.
PassportsEach ticket is in the passport's English name and number; bring the same passport to the gate. Avi's number is needed when you book.
Paying in the parkAlipay or WeChat Pay with your UK card linked works at park restaurants and shops.
HalalNo certified halal restaurant in the park. Reported: halal set meals on request at Stargazer Grill (Tomorrowland). Outside the gate, Disneytown's Food Republic has stalls with 清真 (halal) signs and a Uyghur restaurant (Yershari). Cold food you bring in is allowed: no hot or smelly food, no durian.
The night beforeYou land at Pudong at 19:20 on the 15th and the park is 20–30 min from the airport. Courtyard Shanghai International Tourism and Resorts Zone (Bonvoy) is about 1 km from Disney with a shuttle. I haven't checked its price.

  • Pick the 16 Oct date and Adult, then Carefree Set of 8; check the ride list on the listing matches.
  • Enter each person's name exactly as on the passport, plus the passport number.
  • Most bundles are non-refundable. The "official partner" version costs a little more and allows conditional cancellation.
  • Download the Shanghai Disney Resort app; link tickets after you enter to choose fast-track times.
  • Soaring has had maintenance days; if it's closed, Disney gives the set's named replacement ride instead.
